Community Solutions offers a variety of one and two-day workshops. Community Solutions is experienced in working in a variety of training venues and developing workshops to meet the specific needs of the audience.

START-UP WORKSHOPS are conducted for HUD grantees on the Supportive Housing Program and Shelter Plus Care program.  The workshops are designed to provide the information needed by grantees to develop and manage effective programs in accordance with HUD regulations.

CONTINUUM OF CARE is a two-day workshop that provides in-depth information on all aspects of Continuum of Care planning, collaboration and capacity building and project development.

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT is a one-day workshop for grantees and potential recipients of McKinney-Vento funding.  Topics include eligible applicants; eligible activities; definitions of homelessness; supportive housing design; and HUD regulations and requirements.

DEVELOPING LEASING PROGRAMS is a one-day workshop designed to assist agencies in the development and management of leasing programs using Continuum of Care funding.

CASE MANAGEMENT FOR SUPPORTIVE HOUSING PROGRAMS is a two-day extensive training for case managers and frontline staff of agencies managing supportive housing programs.

ASSESSING SSI/SSDI is a two-day training curriculum designed for staff assisting adults who are homeless through the SSI/SSDI application and disability determination process.  Trainers are SOAR certified.

DEVELOPING PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS is a one-day training on developing performance measurement systems to assess and track the success and benefits of programs.

MCKINNEY-VENTO AND EDUCATION is a one-day training on the educational rights of children experiencing homelessness.

HOUSING AND SERVICES FOR CHRONICALLY HOMELESS is a one-day workshop providing an overview of best practices for engaging and housing the chronically homeless population.

DISASTER PLANNING is  a one-day workshop that provides strategies for working with local and state officials to ensure that the needs of people experiencing homeless are met during disasters and recovery.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT is a one- or two-day training for non-profit agencies on the financial requirements, regulations and OMB Circulars specific to federally funded programs. 

HOMELESSNESS PREVENTION AND RAPID RE-HOUSING can be provided as a one or two day workshop that provides information on program regulations and program management.

ANNUAL PROGRESS REPORT is a one-day training that provides step-by-step guidance to assist grantees in accurately completing the Annual Progress Report.

WHAT ARE MAINSTREAM RESOURCES? is a one-day workshop on identifying and accessing mainstream resources that are available to help meet the needs of people experiencing homelessness.
